This dataset was collected with the aim of testing a new configuration of the G-864 magnetometer, which is part of the ITINERIS research infrastructure, for the vertical gradient measurement. The testing activities were conducted at Terme di Agnano (Naples, Southern Italy) during the international course SEG Geophysics Field Camp in Southern Italy 2024. The vertical gradient map (represented as grid in the figure) shows high-intensity dipolar anomalies presumably associated to buried metal objects. It also highlights the need to mitigate sources of interference and noise linked to the new configuration to ensure a correct survey. More information about this activity can be found at https://doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-egu25-19641. Figure caption. Vertical gradient dataset; black colour indicates the survey lines.
